Friends Forever =)
Many years ago, there was a little girl. This girl wasn't the average girl. She was very, very different. She was quiet, shy, wore large clothes that never matched, and had braces on all of her teeth. One day her mom and dad put her in a class at the church where she would learn to act. Week after week, she went through auditions, learned songs and signs, and memorized lines for the part she got. During the 12 weeks of class, she got to know another girl like her. They didn't talk very much, but they did know each other. The class ended. Another semester began, and she was put in a science class with that other girl. Every week, after the class before the science class ended, the little girl would plop into a seat, excluded from the others. Sometimes she was discouraged, sometimes she just didn't want to talk to anyone. But the other girl always had a different plan. She would move her things over so she could sit next to the quiet girl. By the time that semester of classes ended, the girls were becoming friends. They decided to take a few more classes together, and got to know each other better. They would have sleepovers, hang out at church or the other girl's house, eat lunch together, and got to know each other even better. They became best friends. The first girl was always encouraged by the second girl. Always. She looked up to the other girl in so many ways. Then they started to grow up, and things changed. The first girl's dad one day said they were going to move. They moved to the edge of the country, more than two thousand miles away. Even though they were separated by states, grew to like different things, and hung out with different types of people, they stayed great friends. The first girl visited the second girl, and then the second girl flew over to see the first girl for her birthday. They are still friends today. =)
Both girls love to watch movies together, sing songs together, shop together, talk about random things together, take pictures with cell phones together, and be weird together.
Pretending to be a supermodel is a favorite of the first girl. =)
Though these girls will most likely live thousands of miles apart for their entire lives, they will continue to be close friends.
Because it is a gift from God that they cherish.
